A1 control

Change Target

* Make sure the beam is off! Usually one moves the target only while being on the phone to MAMI. * Open a terminal as mezzo on control1 * Optional: Check the target position with where_target * Go to the new position with the appropriate go-command (e.g. go_C12) * Check the target position with where_target. The setpoint should be the selected target, and the difference should be small ( < 100 )

Checking Beam Position

* Call MAMI and tell them, that you want to check the beam position. * 'Ask MAMI to switch off the beam and wait for the confirmation, that the beam is off!' * Move in the screen (see section: Moving the Target) * on a1analyse (Computer with Dual screen) locate the upwards arrow on the panel next to the a1-logo Click it to open the menu Select the menu item Target Camera ** An MPlayer window will open. If not, check if it's already open. * Press 'c' to activate the camera, now you should see the cross hairs on the screen. * Ask MAMI for a little bit of beam (nanoamperes) * When you see the beam on the screen, take a picture by pressing 'p'. It will be saved to the logbook. * Ask MAMI to center the beam on the target and take another picture. * 'Switch off the camera by pressing 'c' again.' Close the MPlayer window. * 'Ask MAMI to switch off the beam and wait for the confirmation, that the beam is off!' * Move in the correct production target (e.g. go_C12) * Wait for the target to reach the position. * Check the target position with where_target. The setpoint should be the selected target, and the difference should be small ( < 100 ). * Ask MAMI for the correct beam current.
